This anniversary also encourages us to examine our current context and to look to the future in an effort to find avenues where we can more fully witness together to our common faith in Christ, to work toward Christian unity and work together for the world. The diocese of Saskatoon will commemorate this anniversary alongside our Christian brothers and sisters with an ecumenical worship service to be held at 3:00 p.m. on October 29th, 2017 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family.Leading up to the service, we also invite Christians in Saskatoon and the surrounding areas to study and dialogue about the Reformation using ‘Together in Christ’, a 5-session study series prepared by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB). The first session will be held Wednesday, September 20th at Zion Lutheran Church. The remaining four sessions will be offered twice a week: at a hosting church in the city during the week; and at Queen’s House Retreat and Renewal Centre on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
