Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training Level 1 - Become a certified CGS catechist April 22-27, 2018 in Saskatoon.Level 1 Part A training covers all you need to know for Year 1 catechesis for 3-6 year olds. Formation leaders are coming to Saskatoon from Ontario to share their wisdom and experience. A minimum of 10 participants must be registered by March 23 in order for this training session to take place. Bishop Mark Hagemoen will attend the Pure Witness MInistries YEP event at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 21 and will preside at Mass held at Holy Family Cathedral, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon.   I Thirst: Retreat for Grade 8 & up - YEP is a full day youth retreat put on by Pure Witness Ministries, full of games, skits, talks, music, food and fellowship to be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road. Bishop Mark Hagemoen will preside at Mass in the morning. Guest speaker Theresa Boehm will draw from St. Mother Teresa’s writings, to talk about diving into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Sacramental Prep. Workshop

* Sacramental Preparation Workshop for catechists, teachers and parish leaders will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at St Francis Xavier parish, 222 Willow Street, Saskatoon. Insights will be provided from Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation leaders regarding the preparation of children for reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist. Workshop includes theory on the stage of development of children aged 6-9 years, practical suggestions of child-friendly hands-on presentations to introduce into your sacramental preparation programs. There will be a hands-on experience (practicum) aspect to this workshop. This special one-day only event is being offered by experienced CGS Catechists from Toronto, Carolyne-Marie Petch and Dr. Debbie Zeni.
